Next year on our taxes the blank that says "did you take a cash advance" we get to answer yes and deduct the 300-600 that we get as a "bonus" ...its an early return basically.. thats all
Taxes though, I did mine a while back. Got a couple g's back which is always nice (then it went right to bills lol) |
Yea, I missed that when they did that and now the state calls and says I owe them because of that...

You might want to get a new accountant Fox,
http://usgovinfo.about.com/b/2008/02/27/will-i-have-to-pay-taxes-on-my-rebate.htm
Doesn't mean it won't change. To tell you the truth I can't remember what they did on the last "stimulus" pay out I don't remember if it was deducted from our refund or if it was added to our total income. I'm too lazy to look through our tax records to find out though.
In any case, even if it doesn't come out of next years refund, we will still be paying it back in the form of higher taxes at some point in the future. _________________

That is what they did before, this time they're just printing money.
so it doesn't come out of next year, their "borrowing"** against the future.
** borrow assumes you intend to pay it back, the current administration has no such intention. |

Property value only matters if you plan to sell or get a home equity loan. Lower property values actually mean lower property taxes
I e-filed today and scheduled the tax payment to be debited from my account on the 14th. I've been able to get some satisfaction in the fact that I filed on April fools day. If I had known I could schedule my payment I would have filed back in February, but I have no intention of giving them my money more than a day or two before I have to. _________________
