i live in a condo, and i have found that sometimes i connect to other networks other than mine. you say, what is wrong with that, not much, but i guess i am connectiong to one far from me, cause i get a very low connection. i know that i do connect to mine, due to the light on front of my router from time to time, and my high connection.
so here is my connection. dsl router --> dlink router --> uniden wap. i am running 802.11b.
when i was connected to the router:
for some reason i can not connect to the default ip for the router. any suggestions on getting to that. right now i get page can not be displayed. even if i ping it, i can not find it.
i guess once i can connect to it, i will be able to config the mac address, and tighten this up a little bit.
any suggestions? thanks. as for distance, i am about 5 feet from the wap. |

1) Your WAP has issues
2) Your WNIC has issues
3) You are getting a lot of interference.
Is your system/WAP close to any Microwaves, Cordless Phones, Radio's, or anything like that? Have you tried updating your WNIC dirvers? |
