You know it would be great to enroll and for 3 months searching linux on Google, writing stuff in Word about how Vista sucks, etc. I wonder if you get to keep the software after 3 months, or if its just to use over the 3 months.

http://wfp.microsoft.com/

Microsoft is offering the following free software for completing 10 Mins survey and then letting Microsoft monitor your PC usage for 3 months.

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
Microsoft Money Plus Premium
Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008
Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008

Laughing Might be worth putting on the kids system Grin

OO And night... it's that "no usage for 15 min" part that almost made me spit coffee on my monitor.

worth it for a trip to the "Microsoft store" (they know me by name by now, many usability test/beta test/contractor benifits Smile Smile Smile )

by the time I got back to the site to sign up, (after checking that it was legit, the free software offer didn't show, so I didn't sign up.
Probably large numbers will drop out (typical for beta/QC/usability tests) so it maybe reoffered later.
I doubt they'll send software out BEFORE the 3 months are up (but MS has let people get freebies before with nothing in return)

I know better than to sign up for ANYTHING free from M$ no matter how simple it may seem. These people are not to be trusted....
