So almost a year ago I bought Windows OneCare because Costo had it for really REALLY cheap, and figured it was worth it.

Now that my 1st year is up, and they want $49.95 to renew I deiced to look around at what's out there. Now my head hurts. This reviewer loves this, hates this. But an other reviewer is just the opposite. Bang Head

So anyone got any opinions? What do you use, and do you like it?

KASPERSKY all the way.

I'm not sure if its still active, but on amazon I bought Kaspersky Internet Security for $65 with a $65 rebate. And its a 3 user package.

Just renewed it for work too. about $4,000 for 3 years for 150 clients, exchange server with 240 mailboxes. (renewal and additions included)

I use an online virus scanner if I ever download a suspicious file. With vista I don't use any spyware solution. With XP I used spybot search and destroy. In my opinion a good firewall is better than any virus checker, real time or not. I wan't to know when something is "calling home". Even legit programs call home, and I like to decide who gets in or not.

I've been using AVG for about 4 years now and don't have any complaints. I recently upgraded to the paid versions which have more funtionality than the free editions. So far, they have caught everything that has tried to slip through so I feel they are worth the money.....

Buy.com had McAfee Virusscan Plus for 3 systems on sale for $4.99 with free shipping. For that price, I'll see how good it does Grin
