I just got this card for my server. It was just under $100 @ buy.com.
Might be something to think about instead of getting a new cpu/mb. |

That budget means AMD X2
I've been away from AMD for awhile, so I'm sure someone else can point out a good board/cpu combo, but think something along the lines of an X2 4400 and whatever board strikes your fancy in the $80 range. You shouldn't have too much trouble staying under budget and will still end up with a reasonably nice setup. _________________

Maybe something like an AMD X2 4800+ and an ASUS M2A-VM - has onboard DVI and VGA graphics, plus 4x SATA 3Gbps, PCIe, Gigabit LAN (check Newegg, it is $10 less than anyone on PriceGrabber).
Cut the CPU down to save even more bucks. |
