I'm completely done with the computer thing.. No more upgrades, new builds, etc.. I only play one older game, and any P5 75mhz can handle surfing the net.

I just cant see spending even $100 on parts anymore. My existing XP-M 2600+ OC'd to 2600mhz and Radeon 9800pro still does everything I need it to do. And my Celly-M laptop handles my mobile needs. I'm sitting here now thinking about all the money I wasted on PC parts over the years.

I cant even build up the ambition to clean the dust out of my case anymore.

I know how you feel... But I just can't stop.

I think you have reached this point in your life since this is your post number 1337. You are now officially a master and no longer need new parts to maintain your status!

Totally understandable there. I get into that mood sometimes, but like BB I can't stop either...it's an addiction!!!!!

I've been considering getting a X-Box 360 and/or a PS3 to play games on and use my PCs for "work" stuff, but still too many games come out on the PC that isn't on the consoles Sad

Oh well, one habit just get more and more expensive.

Yea, we want an upgrade... but it's want. And there is little reason to be honest. The systems Misty and I use both play the games we want to play with no issues, and surfing the web and everything else is no problem.

But.... I want my l33tnees Grin Sadly everyone else wants all my $$$$ness.

Since I got a laptop and PS3, I barely turn on my desktop PC. Although there are PC games I have and want to play/finish I just don't seem into it like I used to be.

I can understand your situation, Bobby...I have, for the first time in 12 years, bought a prebuilt system as I have had it with building and configuring systems. If this system get's FUBAR, all I have to do is reinstall from a backup image and the system is good to go. Maybe we need a 12-step program to get back in the mood?

I find that my computer upgrading happens in waves. I can go for months without any interest at all and then bam, I get a bug up my a$$ and have to buy computer parts. this lasts for a couple months and then the cycle starts over again. I think it's an addiction.

I do find that the more work I do on other peoples computers, the less time/$$$ i want to spend on mine.

Give it time, the urge will return.......It always does. Grin

I'd like to buy a big piece of land too a few miles out of town to build on.. something where I cant see my neighbors and I could pee off my front porch if I felt the need.
