Don't ya love it? Unfortunately this stuff happens when a vendor has some "special sauce" that isn't a standard.
It's really crappy when they pull sh*t like this. Honestly this is why I am sticking with my Linksys G router (with 3rd party firmware though... ). Reliable, and I can use any G based card on the market.

So I try to go back to my wired connection and if the system actually boots, the network is bad. Tells me it is an unidentified network with local access only. Looking online shows many people in the same boat with no good fix.

Sorry, but Linux still can't compete. Too many things on Windows that work well... mostly third party apps, sure, but they aren't on Linux. Plus, I have no patience for the fricking command line and the apps that are similar require too much learning.
...and I don't see any 108Mbps drivers for Linux, either.
