yep, SuSe is pretty easy to use as well. I believe Fedora also will let you login as root.

You can use any distro with the root user in a GUI environment. Some may need a little tweaking to allow it, but for good reason. If you really want to do that, I'm sure you know the risks involved when doing daily tasks as root.

yeah, I'm fully aware of the damage I can do logged in as root...I may have to give SuSe a go.
