hey i work at a site that allows us to go online. they seem to have blocked any website that is a proxy and trust me i checked alot of proxies. is there anyway i can get around this without using a proxy or a list of unlimited sites because iv tried alot and this filter site is really good so. ty

I had a position that did not have web filters in place but many of my friends in other departments were not as fortunate. I did not see www.ktunnel.com on the list, that one was pretty popular around the office. Incidentally, the list of proxies in the article no longer works (I understand it was published September 2007). If you are concerned about using proxy sites, another option would be a USB flash drive with a portable embedded browser such as Google Chrome.

yeah, nobody in IT knows about portable browsers on flash drives... Rolling Eyes

We built a utility to block all non-approved flash drives, it checks a database and if you're not approved for it, and not using the approved model it is disabled and gets reported Smile

Then again, our legal department made us unblock Facebook, MySpace, etc. Something about being used for recruiting and freedom of speech or something Razz
