Running this by you guys...
I have run another football league with some friends for the past 8 years or so, and I think we're running a little smaller these days... Like 7 or 8 teams.
While I think it might be cool to have one big league and mix the two, would anyone object? And why?
They are all competitive when it comes to this, so it would be a good combo. And while the talent might get watered down it would make it harder to dominate. Plus, the league fee would be less per person?
Thanks! |

I didn't say that.
And bigger league is fine, as long as I get all the players I WANT.
So are you talking about 17 - 18 teams?? Are there that many good players in all of the NFL? |

I think there are just barely that many good players (per position).
What it would hopefully do is encourage trading, since hoarding 3 or 4 good receivers gets you nowhere if you have a miserable QB or TE, or something.
I have the league capped at 16 now, up from the original 10. There could be up to 7 people coming from this other league and we have 7 from here right now. |

With a bigger league, another interesting thing we could is have two divisions. You play across division lines, but the playoffs would be seeded by division record... Details:
Quote: | All Custom Leagues in Fantasy Football PLUS allow the commissioner to choose between using a system that places all teams in one division or breaks them up into two equal groups.
Both Division winners will qualify for the play-offs even if one of the division winner's overall rank is 5th or lower.
Leagues with 1 division will play a balanced schedule, Leagues with 2 divisions will an unbalanced schedule. In other words: Teams in Leagues with 2 divisions will play the majority of their games against division rivals.
Aside from playoffs and scheduling, this choice will not impact any aspect of game play.

Sound cool? 2 divisions, like the BB group and the outsiders? |
