Content blocked in IE?

Not sure if this is a setting in IE or something else that is running on this machine but I can't figure out what is going on. My mom was complaining that the start page I set up for her was blamk and wasn't loading anymore.....well after I checked it out I realized it was but the background color was gone so the off white text on white was not something she could read. It is also blocking some content on the page like simple gif images. The strange thing is if I log on as the admin the page loads fine so I don't think it is anything to do with NIS but I can't figure out what could cause this. Any ideas on what I could check? Oh and if I change teh background to another it loads fine, so it just seems to be blocking the original under the one user.

Although I see that myself here sometimes, I do not know why.

One machine on my network somehow gets the ads at Bigbruin blocked without being changed in any way from the other computers.

Did you find anything out yet?

No...tried turning off pop up blockers, spam filters, NIS....but nothing seems to make a difference. Very strange.
