I think it is OK. Should be a big(ger) update probably every 3-4 days on that, based on what I have seen for speeds. Anyone else have a WU completion estimate?

Can you check it at work? Do you have it installed as a service? If it isn't onscreen showing the status, just go into the folder and look for the html file that will provide the current status.

it's running Ubuntu server (cmd only) on a virtual server on my PC at work. I know its running (I can see the F@H processes via the "top" command)

Maybe its like you said, it might take 3-4 days to see the update.

An x2 3800 folding 24/7 at stock speed should be putting out an smp work unit every 36-40hrs, so if it's only running 14hrs. a day you should expect to complete work units every 3 days or so. Which at 1760point per unit is a respectable 585 ppd average.

The linux smp client was slightly faster than the window smp client, so you might have results 10-15% better than what I listed above. It also is dependent on which work unit you are processing, but in general you should expect to get points every two to three days.

If you check the log file and get the time per frame and work unit you should be able to easily calculate the time it will take to finish. time per frame * number of frames, usually 100 / 60 minutes in an hour This will give you a pretty close estimate on how many hours to completion. which you divide by 24 to get the number of days and then divide the points per work unit by the number of days to complete and you have your points per day output.

The results probably won't show up on the stats page immediately though.

You just picked up 1523 points today, so the estimate seems about right... Grin

Looks like your Opty 185 just reported in. Grin

We're starting to move up too, seemed like are ranking was bogged down in the 680's for quite a while.

Pretty interesting...
http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-PS3.html

I took some pics of the GUI but they are already posted in the link above. It's pretty cool looking. And all of those dots around the globe are current folding PS3s.

F@H for PS3 is designed to finish a WU in 8hrs, typically enough time you to sleep and let your PS3 fold.

PS3's are folding monsters!

Unfortunately for me, the only game I play on the ps2 is Gran Turismo 3&4, so I'm going to have to wait another year or so before I can justify buying the ps3 just for GT HD. Sad

So, at our current paces... What do you think will happen first? acruxksa reaching 500,000 or me reaching 200,000?

It'll be close... about a weeks worth of work given the progress over the last 7. I may have to get another dual core system going to tilt it in my favor... Laughing
