What is the deal with anime?

Do people here like it?

It just really bothers me, and I don't get it. Most seems creepy to me... And none seems all that interesting. Sure, I am basing this on what I see on TV, but I would have to assume it doesn't get much better.

no - the Simpsons and Family Guy are just cartoons... and they definitely good to me.

I mean the true Japanese anime stuff that comes on late on Cartoon Network and elsewhere.

Lots of other tech sites have subforums dedicated to anime, so I was wondering if there was a connection between computer enthusiasts and this stuff.

I grew up watching Anime (I grew up overseas). So I like Anime Smile

I think one of the first DVD's I bought was Akira. I have several other Anime DVD's, but I don't rush out to get them.

It just depends on what it is about whether I like it. More of the sci-fi, robots, horror etc is what I enjoy Smile

Astroboy
Macross
Robotech
Trinity Blood
Voltron
Blood
Tenchi

Are a few that I like to watch when I catch them on.

I don't like most of the current Anime stuff (DragonBall Z, Naruto)

Personal choice I guess but I personally have a strong dislike of anime
