I'd gladly give up a couple thousand kbps of download speed for even 512kbps of upload. I guess Alaska is pretty far away though, so I should be happy.

Not THAT bad. Maybe the border crossing into Canada makes it slower...  What about Cincinnatti or Chicago? Are they less than 200 miles from you?
And what about acruxksa... There are some in BC... would that be closer than Seattle? |
