I thought there was a thread on this show already... But, I just realized something that maybe was blazing obvious to anyone else who watches...
After all the episodes I have seen of this show and Dirty Jobs, I just realized that Mike Rowe is the narrator on Deadliest Catch.
- that's it. |

Mike Rowe narrates a ton of the shows on Discovery Channel. He also does most of the Ford commercials now. _________________ 5 home-built PCs, ASUS A6Jc Laptop, and a PowerEdge 2650 - all running Gentoo. Now if only I can get a car and plane to run it. Take a look at my Gallery! |

knew he was narrator, but on one of the recent epsodes, he actually appears both in the wheelhouse, and on deck (most narrators work in post production, and never see the filming site in person)
Hopefully, all the toxic he's exposed to on DirtyJobs, won't kill him off, and we'll be seeing and hearing him for many years. |

American Choppers used to be Discovery but went to TLC. Is he still narrating new episodes of that?
I only saw him on the ships on the "After the Catch" episode where they were talking about all that happened after the season. And yeah, he is damned good at what he does and hope he's around for a long time...like the movie narrator guys who's name escapes me; Don something.... _________________ 5 home-built PCs, ASUS A6Jc Laptop, and a PowerEdge 2650 - all running Gentoo. Now that I finally made the connection in my head, I see the Wikipedia page that lists all the shows and commercials he does... Pretty cool.
I also remembered why I thought there was a thread here... I was talking to Acruxksa about it on another forum... |

Yep, we discussed some of this in another forum. Deadliest Catch is OK, but I liked the After The Catch episodes more. Pictures of crappy Wx just don't do anything for me anymore.
I agree Mike Rowe is awesome. I didn't know his name until I read this thread, but I recognized his voice from several other shows and the new Ford commercials. _________________
