so basically don't go to a website that is a ".cn"?

what happens when you do?

is it safe to test a ".cn" site in a virtual OS?

what happens when you use a non-gates OS?

Non Win-OSes should* be safe, a Virtual OS... just becareful that you still know what you're doing. As it will likely also have some form of worm in their that will attempt to reach out and touch other systems on your network.

* = you still better know what you're doing.

I recently found a DOT CN website in our spam folders...just blocked all DOT CN domains with Squid Grin

so DOT CN's originate from China? Are we really running out of .com, .net, .org, .info, .tv, etc that we need another set?

Nothing good has come out of China in the last 100 or so years. Might as well block .CN

.CN is the country domain, just like .US, .UK, etc... Heck .TV is a country domain!

When I started up our cable tv internet, I chose .tv for the catchy domain. ducom.tv had a ring to it that our subscribers liked.

.TV is a country domain? I thought that was supposed to be for television domains...to make it easier for the common internet user to remember.
