Hey what do you guys think of this video card?

XFX GEFORCE 7900 GS

I'm not a real big gamer or anything... I want to be able to play BF2 and similar games. Do you think I'll be happy with this card?

I'm trying to keep under the $200 range. Any other suggestions?

Is this a better card for the $??
XFX GEFORCE 7600 GT 256MB

Thanks !!!

7900 wouldnt be a bad choice
what are you using right now?
im waiting for more DX10 cards to come out before investing in a new card because if you buy now chances are you wont be able to support some of the games coming out later this year...

Right now I'm using a very old PCI 128Mb card I believe it's a NviDia 5200... which just isn't cutting it!

Hmmm or how about this one?? Looks pretty good and a $45 rebate.

Then I wouldn't worry about a DirectX 10 card.

Also, when you compare make sure you do it at a resolution you would actually be likely to hit.

I have a Samsung 19in Widescreen. What's a good resolution to hit?

Thanks for all the answers. I'm new to the whole building computer and comparing products.

Okay I think I'm going to go with this one:
Foxconn FV-N79SM2D2-OC GeForce 7900GS

It has a pretty kick butt rebate (don't mind PITA rebate forms) I think it'll be good for the kind of stuff I use my computer for.

Thanks for the good tips and help!
