Greetings,
Just re-installed the A7N266-VM (rev 1.05) in a full size case, installed Athlon XP 2800+ then tried Athlon 1400 but the system won't move out of bios setup due to the following message from within BIOS:
Message Confirmation
The system case or cover is open or has been removed.
Please check the system.
OK
Clicking OK allows you to move around and edit bios settings, but saving and escaping brings this back again. No change.
Can't find any header on the MB for connecting to case for this type of security business.
It's bios is ver 1004, I have 1006, 1007 & 1008(beta) but have no opportunity to upgrade since it won't boot.
I've tried removing all PCI & AGP card. Checked again for unidentified pairs of pins on the board to jumper just to see what changes. No luck. Anbody know this motherboard?
I have no experience with that mobo but I would guess there should be some place in the BIOS that you could disable that feature. Take a look around real good in the BIOS and see if you can find anything.
Do you have a chassis intrusion device connected to the mobo? If not then check the BIOS to see if there's a way to turn it off as dadx2mj has suggested. _________________
