Corporate Backups

Just curious what your company uses for backups...we currently use tapes [dat72] and now we have two servers spanning to two tapes per backup.

I am looking into alternatives right now..maybe something like a NAS with raid drives.

We are all on disk here, in multiple locations (4 locations I believe). It's replicated live to the local site, two remote sites, then a nightly back-up to the fourth.

LTO2 & LTO3 tapes in two 28 slot libraries on a fiber card from a single server running veritas 9.1 backing up nightly across all servers (incremental) and weekly about 10-12 TB. One file cluster is 6TB alone. Backups start Friday night and end Sunday afternoon Laughing

My fathers small accounting firm (About 10 or so old guys, all computer idiots) back everything up on floppies Laughing
