Just got back from work and am finally getting around to watching it.........Can't believe I was able to go 2 days at work on the ship without anyone even talking about who won.
In keeping with my get off work ritual, I filled my kegerator with "Double White Bier" from the Midnight Sun Brewery.
Nothing beats getting OFF WORK. Especially if you are a sailor. $$$$$, beer and women......................errr. woman. Wife doesn't seem to take too well to the plural. _________________

The finish was amazing with a wreck right behind the leaders.
Clint Bowyer's car crossing the finish line while upside down and on fire was very cool |

Yep, it was definitely worth the wait. Would have been nice if MM could have pulled it out, but was still pretty good. As you say, 07 sliding across the finish line upside down was something else.
Sure would like to see DEI figure out what went wrong with their restricter plate program. They used to be pretty dominant. _________________

By more like Days of Thunder you mean:
The winner gets a push from a fellow driver to come from about 5th. place to first place with less than a lap to go and beat the 2nd. place car by 3ft after 500 miles of 185mph racing. Meanwhile several cars behind them spin out and wreck causing one car to actually finish by sliding over the finish line upside down. **edit** forgot to mention the FIRE. (what's not to like about that?)
Didn't that just happen?
I'm not a NASCAR fanatic, but I still enjoy watching the races. Usually end up TIVO'ing them and FFWD'ng to the good stuff. Basically though if #8 (Earnhardt Jr.) drops out I usually stop watching soon after. Although I do like his team mate in the 1 (Truex Jr.).
I also find myself subconsciously hoping Toyota does poorly. Not sure why really, just don't want them to have an easy go of it. Maybe after they put in a few years I'll feel differently. _________________
