OK, time for me to get serious. Have been folding on a D805 only (overclocked to 3.3 GHz)... Now there is this to work into the fold...

Dual dual-core Opteron 270s (2.0 Ghz x4).

Nice!

Are you using the new smp client? I think it's only for 64bit linux and osX, but it's supposed to be able to really boost output.

I'm getting this funny feeling I have an intel quad core cpu in my future Grin

No - I went with 32 bit CentOS Linux, so I couldn't try out the SMP F@H.

Mad Mad Mad
Well, folding isn't for the weak. My second video card lasted just about exactly 24hrs before dying a sudden and miserable death. Already got an RMA number from the egg and will ship it out tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a replacement before x-mas. Boy it was fun while it lasted though.

It really wasn't too bad, I'd rather have it fail right away than 31days from now. I was monitoring temps on it most of the time and it never got above 55c so I think it was just a bad card. Hopefully the replacement will be better. My other card has been running fine for a couple weeks now so I think it's good to go. It's still churning out about 600 points per day so I won't loose too much production because I can run one core on my c2d without slowing the gpu.
