I traded in my Jeep about 7 weeks ago, and was really surprised how much they gave me for it... Blue book sites were saying $4400-$5000 resale, and I got $5500 in trade!
Anyway... I was driving past the dealership the other night and saw a Jeep "like mine". Started noticing some of the similar custom features [bumper step, exhaust, etc] and still didn't put it all together. Finally realized it was mine when I saw the white skyjacker shocks showing underneath... 
The funniest part was that they had this old thing in the prime spot on the lot, in the corner at the busiest intersection labeled as the Special of the Week - on sale for $6400! Wow, that seems like alot for a '99 with 118k miles (and a few minor problems). Non-sale price was listed as $7480!!

when i bought my audi and got rid of my blazer i had a few mods done to it as well was a 2000 with 100k on it... blue book on it was around 4k and they gave me 6500! two days later it was sold for just under 10k! some kid got taken for sure lol

My wife's cousin bought a used car, and the finance company made the car dealer lower the selling price of the car.
That is how bad some people get taken. |

I looked up selling my car at CarMax. They'd give me $7500-$8000 and they'd sell it for $11k
