BB,
If you didn't get in on the TV deals, the Vizio's are usually pretty cheap with out sales. 32" widescreen lcd for about $699. They have a new model that should be out in the next couple weeks so you might want to keep an eye out for them. I've got one for the kids and it seems to work out OK. It's no match for my Hitachi, but it works and the kids like it.

The Vizios's quality seems to be hit or miss, so you want to buy it from someplace like costco because their return policy is excellent. Not sure what changes they made to the new model, but it may or may not be worth waiting a few days for it.

I had a Best Buy 12% off coupon and wound up getting a 27" Insignia brand from them... Not sure who the hell they are, but it seems nice so far... Built in NTSC and ATSC tuners are working together nicely to pull in standard cable and HD! I am getting some of the digital and 720p and 1080i HD channels up there without a cable box, while I am paying $15 extra for the same (and more) digital and HD channels downstairs.

Problem is they are all in weird places... Like 2 is CBS and on the box 702 in HD CBS... Upstairs, this new TV has it has something like 110-702. So, you go to channel 110, and then there are sub-channels, like -702 (HD CBS), -704 (HD NBC)... While HD ABC is generally 707, but is now 80-707. Very confusing to find these channels.

Also has plenty of connectors including HDMI and VGA.

Insignia = Best Buy

Now who actually manufactures it, I don't know. Was told they have lots of manufactures, all major brand names.

Same for me.. but I carry a gun, or multitude of them at times. The chances of me busting a cap in someone's @ss is likely. ...and I'm too pretty to go to prison. So I'll do a Marine style operation a couple nights before x-mas with a list in hand. Get in, find targets, buy them, then get the hell out.

Glad things aren't bad in my area. They were yesterday morning, but by noon it had calmed down to maybe 10% more people than normal. Still too many for me to go shopping for long, but wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. The wife wanted to go out shopping so I went with her, think in the stores we stood in lines that only had 1-2 people ahead of us at the most.
