Time to resurrect this thread.

Still using the U3 1GB drive from above, but removed the software. And installed pstart for menu driven interface.

Saw this today and will be trying it out. Looks very much like the U3 menu but hopefully it is better.

I've used the lite version of that. It's pretty nice. I agree with you on U3. It has a lot of potential, but basically doesn't quite live up to the hype yet. Maybe someday. I also removed it from my 2GB usb drive. Apparently once you remove it you can't put it back which is fine with me.

I'd like to see something like Acronis that can be put onto a thumbdrive instead of a CD.

if you can boot off a USB I'm sure you could get away with coping the stuff on the CD to the root of the USB drive.
