If you're not in a rush, you could try selling it locally first... or sell it on eBay and make it very clear it is for pick-up only! i have sold a few things like that, and they did better than anticipated, given the geographical limits...

Nope not in a rush to sell it unless it doesnt sell before Decmember or so....LOL Just wanted to see how much you guys thought it was worth now. I know I paid $800 for parts for it, and $100 labor a year ago, and have put programs on it, and added the DVD drive and cordless keyboard and mouse, and of course the printer..LOL

Remember... don't include any software, unless your going to give them the original disk, and Serial Number. Just an FYI & CYA.

Laughing Yea... your right they do have gerbils all over... but they probably don't let him buy them any place near him any more... they we're getting very suspicious.

Maybe strip out some of the good pieces for use in the pcs you're keeping... like the DVD and CDRW... then unload it. Even if it cost $800 a year ago, the main problem is new Dell systems only sell for $400-$500 for starters...

Becasue unless you give them the original disk, it's illegal. And belive it or not... They are pretty hot about that right now. It's just better safe than sorry, unless you personally KNOW them...then it's up to your morals... Wink

Personally I would format the drive and then load Windows on it before I sold it. Then again legally you would have to sell them the original install disk and serial # with it. You might be surprised at what someone who knows what they are doing might find on the HDD if you dont.
