Well I had some serious systems issues today. Long story short I either need to buy a new Socket 7 board, or I need to buy a Socket 939. Since I have CPU's for both, I'd rather get the 939 system.

I've had some pretty good luck with ATi lately. Currenty have an ATi x850XT and an ATi 200 Mobo (which is only OK...)
So.... I dunno? I don't honestly think going Crossfire with the x850 is gonna happen because you need a special card. Would be cheaper I think to go to the x19xx's

What is the point of this system? If it is currently Socket 7, I can't imagine it is for anything power hungry, and either of those boards seem $$$ as a replacement.
I have an ABIT Crossfire board now, but it is socket 775... Great features, great board all around.

One of my servers died. So I need to replace it.
I have an extra x64 3000 laying around, so I'm thinking of taking my current board and making it the server (not a great system, but very stable) and getting me a new one.
Trying to keep my costs down as much as possible, just because right now we're in pay off all bills mode. Otherwise it'd be a new E6600 system coming my way.

I'm so far out of touch with what is hot/stable/bargain its incredible.
Once the mad OCing bug passed, I have been way out of the loop.
I have an ATI 939 board but haven't taken it out of the box yet so its hard for me to comment.
Maybe Joker wil get me back into it like Asylum did.
EDIT: Took a look around Newegg, boy howdy s#!7 is ASUS proud of their boards!!! I can't believe the prices. Stick with Abit, never had an issue with them.
