With as much as I'm on the road, having internet access is kinda hit & miss at times..

My cellular provider has internet service, but my existing phone is very limited to what it can do. IE: IM's, webmail, mobile configured HTML pages.

I'd like to get a phone that can browse most, if not all webpages, and also have a qwerty(?) keyboard for easier use. Size really isn't an issue, I'm used to carrying lots of objects while at work or play(measuring wheel, height stick, tape measure, clipboard, handgun).

A tri-band or quad-band phone for great coverage and service availability is necessary. A larger display would be nice too. Something that runs on Windows Mobile is most desired.

Price is a factor, I'm not looking to dish out big bucks. Tigerdirect has some units I've been looking at - but I'm still a n00b at these cellphones. ...yeah, I know... a Telecommunications Engineer thats a n00b with phones.. lol

Any suggestions is appreciated.

Thank you.

I've got one of those on my list of potential buys.

I also have an HP iPaq hw6515 and a comparable Nokia device.

I can get any one of the three for $150-$250(new/refurb) from my provider - Cingular.

RIght now I'm leaning toward the HP, second the Nokia, third the Blackberry(cant remember model).

what provider are you with? the blackberrys rule! theyre tough will NEVER crash (unlike the windows mobile phones) and theyre fairly simple to use but it will take some adapting. nokia released the e62 which is pretty sweet it runs on the blackberry software and has its own added features to make it stand out better.

Laughing Do you have one? I and everyone in my department does. Trust me, they crash.

The HP ones are nice Knight, I knew some people that had them.

I still haven't decided which way to go.

I've got a lil while before I really need one, ...sometime before its too cold to sit in my truck to make phone calls at the motel. If the motel would just add internet service to the rooms, I wouldn't need this wireless connection as bad.

The HP iPaq's we're all the rage with a lot of the traveling consultants (as almost all of us were), and everyone that had them loved them.

You should be very pleased with it.
