video card choke....

Is having high choke on the video card sign of a card dying?

The last few nights of playing online games my choke has been really really high example is 50 or higher. and the "out" is low but the "in"number is high. i try and get a screen shot of the net_graph and post it if you need to see it to understand what I'm asking.

I never heard of choke on a video card. On an engine, yes, but never anything GPU related.

I think that has a lot to do with connectivity to the server, more so than issues with the video card, maybe it can be caused by both though.

I think choke is when the server you are playing on isn't fast enough. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about that besides trying another server. My source for this information has been word of mouth in game and also from here.

Maybe you could try a different server and see if anything changes. Good luck.

yeah 71fps is hardly a GPU issue and 61 ping is pretty good.

Someone needs a better host server
