any thoughts on this? was thinking about it...$180 isnt too bad with a 40gb drive

I have heard good things about this one... Actually, the people at Geeks.com were saying they personally really liked the Gigabeat they owned back when Cheeze reviewed the iPod and he had a "few issues" with Apples approach that Toshiba doesn't.

Geeks.com has them in stock for the same price, but $1.99 shipping right now per this:

No tax from Geeks, not sure about Buy.com.

One thing I do know, buy.com has an awful resellerrating.com rating and you may be better off looking anywhere but there!

buy.com never charges tax to NJ, and most stuff ships free.

used them for years, never a problem...even credited me for a rebate that never came!

Just bought the Gigabeat 40GB!!!

After I applied a rebate and traded in some buy.com visa points total cost to me will be $51.99.

I can live with paying that much for music to my ears 24/7.

dont think its the zune...maybe this model of gigabeat 40gb is old and they are trying to push them out before new ones are mainstream.
