Draytek Vigor 2900G Router - Opinions

Hey guys,

I went a couple of days ago and bought a sitecom mimo-xr wireless router to replace the POS Linksys i had previously, which crashed regularly, lost signal almost every hour and just sucked in general. The sitecom has turned out to be rubbish with very dodgy wireless facilities (although remote access to my network has been flawless all day). It's a pity ... it got good reviews.

So, i've decided to bite the bullet and go for something a little up market. Has anyone got experience of Draytek Vigor Routers, and if so, whats the general opinion. I'm looking for something with good wireless, which doesn't drop connection too often, bullet proof remote connections, and vpn endpoints rather than passthrough.

All opinions appreciated.

What sort of budget do you have?

somewhere in the region of $300 ... i need something stable, not the usual soho crap. i run a nix mail/mysql/apache server from home which is used for some quite heavy development work and it's a major PITA when the router starts to frig around.
