convert audio books to mp3 player books?

I have a RCA Digital player and I have a lot of audio books that I would like to convert to play on the digital player. When I down load them now, they play in music mode and play randomly, even when I set the player not to play random. Bang Head

Hi - What does it do? Make a handful of smaller files in MP3 format? Perhaps it is naming them in a way that they are not in true alphabetical / numerical order so that the device doesn't know what the play order should be.

Never been in this boat, but I do know that my MP3 player gets things screwed up with song file order like that.
