Go to Radio Shack. They have this stuff. 1/8" stereo headphone jack to two RCA audio jacks and the s-video to RCA video are fairly common...
Examples:

Quote: | ok so s-video does not cover sound at all??? How do DVD players and TVs with s-viedo work? DO they still need the components for audio connection??
I have never had s-video so that is why I never knew anyhting. |
RF /Antenna : Multiple channels with both video and sound
Composite : One RCA plug, video everything in the same signal
S-Video : Y(b&w picture) & C(color) signals are separated (Put them together and you get composite. Color doesn't have the sync signal in it -> better picture.)
Component : Same as S-Vid, but colors are on two different cables(And need more than just joining the wires together to get a composite signal). The Y signal is the same as S-Video, but Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr not.
RGB and VGA : Sync signal(Sometimes Horiz and Vert on different wires) plus each colors (Red, Green and Blue) have their own cable. Component is supposed to be superior, but why isn't it used for computer screens? |

Y-Adapter, Phono Jacks to Stereo 1/8" Plug
FYI, after seeing this post/link, I ran out to RadioShack and bought that piece. Works very well, for what I needed from my laptop to TV stuff. |
