Ok, in my new system, I'm going to have 2 1GB sticks of PC3200 DDR RAM.
My question is, I also have 2 256 MB sticks of PC4000 DDR. Shoud I or can I also throw in the additional 512MB, or does it not work because it's a different speed? _________________ AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+

Personally, I wouldn't bother putting it in. The increase in performance that you're liable to see isn't going to be enough to warrant the clock differences (your 4000 will be underclocked to 3200). Just my opinion. _________________ " I reject your reality and substitute my own!" - Adam Savage - Mythbusters
If your motherboard supports it, they will usually clock down so that all sticks will perform at the 3200 speed. I don't know if that holds true for ASUS, but it's the norm for a lot of boards as I recall.
