Well, IF/WHEN you do decide to reinstall windows, the first thing you should do is go out to Dell, and download all the drivers for your laptop, or at least the network drivers....
Otherwise, hope you have some way to download them and move them to the laptop if they're not built into XP
If you did not get the XP disks from Dell, check to see if they are electronic disks built into the hard drive, where you have to burn your own copies of it.
Finally, be aware that if you DO have a problem, and call Dell's tech support, they usually get pissy if you've uninstalled their support programs. |

unless he has disks, Dell should have given him a driver disk as well _________________

If you keep ghost, probably wise to keep the live update as well. Ghost is probably using it. |

I'd wipe out all of that useless junk except for Ghost and Live Update... most of it will just take up valuable hard drive space _________________ "Who's doing what now?" |
