Zalman continues to innovate in the field of high performance, low noise cooling. The VF-900Cu provided excellent cooling performance and was able to do so with absolutely no noise. Even at full speed, the cooler was quieter than the stock unit it replaced, and it kept the X800 GTO almost 10 degrees Celsius cooler! - The Review

Hi... We can't go back and ammend each review based on hardware we might get later down the road. but, if I happen to get my hands on one I'll post some data on the cooling performance with the VF-900Cu.

I recently purchased 2 of these coolers with plans to run SLI on my Gigabyte MoBo. What you neglected to allow for in your SLI test was that the bolts used to attach the cooler will actually stop the fan from turning on the top card. No adjustment is possible.

This renders the vf900 cu cooler useless for SLI unless your MoBo has more than one slot between top and bottom PCI-e.

I'm thinking of putting a vf700 on the other card to see if that will work.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Ooh, you are very right... That does look like it would be close even in my pic:

Maybe a modified nut on the back?

Thank you!

Thanks for the info. It's good to know that this VF900 ISN'T suitable for SLI configuration, altough I'm planing such soon...

Anyway, I still keep hearing different opinions (good and bad as well) on this VF900. I just know that I had the VF700-Cu installed on my previous Video Card (XFX 6600GT AGP) and it cooled it down pretty good (from 85C on load to somewhere around 56C!!!).

I'm currently using the stock cooler on my new MSI 7800GTX, but I'm thinking of replacing it soon woth the new Arctic-Cooling Accelero X1. What do you think? Is the Accelero X1 a good choise? Confused

It is the next review up. Not head-to-head with the Zalman, but it does battle other coolers on a 7800GT.
