Pcpowerandcooling VS Ryanpower2...

Hello, I was wordering which one would be the best choice between the PCPCooling 510 and the Ryanpower2 550W.
I know the PCPCooling has adjustable rails, is this true for the Ryanpower2 as well?
Anybody has direct experience with the 2 PSUs?

We reviewed both units at Bigbruin.

I would go with PCP&C if I were to have the budget!

I do not think the ACRyan unit has adjustable rails, unless they upgraded since our review... Images of the insides here:

Hello Big, Wave

I have read the review, I actually have a A.C.Ryan 460W with "just" 26A on 12V, but I need more power cause I am swithing to SLI and I am also a heavy overclocker.

The PCPCooling has always fascinated me cause of the potentiometers but the Ryanpower2 shows a better construction quality.... at least on the outside.

I guess I'll try to find a deal on Ebay, but Ryan's are very difficult to find.

I have a PCP&C PSU... it is by far the best PSU I have ever owned, or seen (outside of Mil spec stuff that is).

all psu's have adjustable rails...some are just harder to get to Grin

If you want a ton of power, adjustability and dont want to spend the cash to get a PCP supply, check out the OCZ 600 Watt model, we reviewed it here and I'm using it currently, heck of a power supply.

are You trying to say that the Ryanpower2 550W comes with adjustable rails and was not covered in the review?

the PSU in the pic doesn't have active PFC, does yours come with active PFC?

I never noticed the fact that it wasn't an Active PFC psu. Doesn't bother me one way or the other, I have used both and my power bill doesn't change much.

The newer OCZ line shows that they are indeed APFC, but only in the international version, whatever that is.

HAX... SSsshh! Not all PSUs have rail adjustment pots... Inside or out. Every review we do we crack open the housing and look for them.
