were looking for an uber internet connection for gaming. im looking for something big but for a 5/1 meg connection im lookin at 230 a month.... the standard would be a 5/512 which is like 60-80 or something like that... tech support says i dont need something huge because the server is only going to pull like 100kbps at a time... is this true or do i need the bigger on for 2 computers gaming?? money aside of course...

On my set-up at home (3/256) I've had four systems playing EQ2 at the same time with very little lag issues, we also all had Teamspeak running in the background with one of the systems being the TS server.

Unless you are the game server host, you really don't send all that much data up. More is coming down.

If you host a U2K/Halo2 type server, then you might need the higher up speed. Really can't say though since I don't play those games...

You should be fine with that sort of bandwidth (the 512K up).

As long as you have good latency (which is generally the biggest issue in online gaming) you should be good to go.
