Hmm. Sounds alot like me. Except the desire to do stuff. I may stay in my room all the time when I am home, but when I'm not, I'm flying, downtown with the Sheriffs (not for bad), or stuff of that sort. I don't have too many friends though  but that doesn't bother me cause I have too much good stuff going for me atm  .

Well, you may have waited a little long to start her tech education (basic principal applies to all learning)
help her get started, but make her do the work.
explain WHY you are suggesting to do things a certain way (seperate partitons for O/S and data etc.) the short version will do to start, if she needs more info she can read MORE of the books.
and you are right, if she doesn't become MORE involved/interested in life/activities, and gain confidence theat SHE can do it, we'll have yet another "welfare mom" (it's not about collecting benifits, it's about taking responsability for HER enjoying HER life , instead of being a drone)

Same here, but I'm up to two friends now. (One of which is even REAL!)
