I have been looking for something like this... Some are incomplete, some are hard to navigate... this one seems good so far. Web based ICQ, Yahoo, AIM, MSN, and Gtalk that looks like Trillian and can get around firewalls that block IM apps.

Sure, sure... until they notice.
But, they did just release a new employee handbook and I'm slightly nervous... Much of it has to be directed at just me. Webmail - forbidden, messengers - forbidden, web use - to be minimized, installing your own software - forbidden, and the key to know it was directed at me: opening your computer chassis - forbidden, performing your own hardware upgrades - forbidden! 
I have to be the only one to have done the last two, and they know it! |

i dont hear any rules about building your own work rig....

Nope - or using a Linux live CD to boot the work PCs in a "different" manner.
The network even allows non-authenticated machines attached to the network to have access without a password or anything... well, at least to the Internet. |
