Looking for a new PCIe video card... nVidia chipset... 6600 or higher... Low priced is good!

I saw this at Newegg... 128 MB 6800XT for $129 after $20 rebate

Or what appears to be better, a 128MB 6600GT for $119 after $20 rebate. THIS ONE

Other suggestions?

I'd probably go for the 6800XT out of those becasue it has 12 pipelines instead of the 8 that the 6600 has.

I originally assumed XT meant better than GT... but I think the 6800XT only has 8 pipes, like the 6600GT... While all other 6800's have 12.

Also, far slower clock and memory speed. What would be the reason to get one? Marketing trick?

Look at eVGA's website, they say the 6800GT has 12 pipes.

If you want something a little better try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121213

if you have the extra cash...get a 6800GS. Should be under $200.

Definately worth it!
