The first thing that comes to mind for me is overheating/too much overclocking. I can run WinXP stable at CPU and RAM timings that cause my computer to crash after a long gaming session in HL2.
Using coolbits (www.guru3d.com) to unlock the clock frequency settings in the nvidia control panel set the 2D clock to be the same as the 3D clock speed. set your 2D clock to 420 and your 3D clock to 420 and your problems might go away! (crosses fingers)
The way its set now is that 2D is stock and 3D is at 425. I thought I was supposed to leave 2D alone. No?
