Yeah, so if you want RAID 5, SATA 1.5 Gb/s is the max... You could throw Sata 3 Gb/s drives at it, but they will run at 1.5 Gb/s speeds.

From this DFI page...

Serial ATA with RAID
Four Serial ATA ports supported by the nForce4 chip
- SATA speed up to 3Gb/s
- RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 0+1
- NVIDIA RAID allows RAID arrays spanning across Serial ATA and Parallel ATA
Four Serial ATA ports supported by the Silicon Image Sil 3114 chip
- SATA speed up to 1.5Gb/s
- RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 0+1 and RAID 5

RAID 5 at 1.5GB/s not 3.0GB/s But still lots of options.

If I remember correctly, Photoshop has been multi-threaded since Photoshop 4.0. So, it should take advantage of the other core or processor.

This is pertinent to your computer, but I wouldn't provide your full address under the location portion of your profile.

Looks like it's his business address, and he's pimping it a bit. King

He must not have a web site....Too bad. It's so difficult to find good images for background art. Grin
