Many might argue that 2GB is overkill... What is the machine for?

And what is your timeline for purchasing?

I'll be buying it during the month of december

I'm a pretty intense gamer, so gaming will be the main focus for the rig.

I like the heck out of your list and although Vantec makes some really good PSU's, they would nto be my first choice.

Look at one of the offerings from OCZ or Enermax (the high end only from both.)

The DFi board is very picky and theses PSU's have been proven time and time again to run it very stable.

(This of course is based on you wanting to OC. If your plans do not include OCing, well the Vantec will work well.)

You do know its an Antec and not a Vantec, correct?
Assuming you were just making a small mental mistake...

Did you have something like these in mind?

Enermax Liberty 500W

OR

OCZ Modstream 520W

I like the looks of the OCZ. If you go enermax, I would step up a bit more to one of thier higher end models.

I have had the opportunity to play with both of these supplies and they rock. The enermax has 4 SATA where as the OCZ only has two.

I wouldn't mind going with the noisetaker, but I think it would be louder than the Liberty I had singled out, and quiet computing is one of the lesser goals for this rig. It's the reason I decided not to go with the 10k Raptor, I'd prefer to have a more quiet solution, and use the SATA II drive instead.

EDIT- After reading the review by BB on the Liberty, I'm leaning towards that PSU. Second to that is probably the OCZ Modstream.

Is this a totally new system? Or an upgrade? Anything left to work with from the current PC if it is an upgrade?

And is it all going in your 'seasoned' Codegen Briza case?

It's a totally new computer.

The 'seasoned' Briza case is containing my current computer, because I've made a few modifications to it that turned out for the worse and it really is an eye sore right now. My current 2500+ Athlon XP system in the Briza case will probably be serving as a FTP server for myself and a few buddies, and probably a test box for Linux, just to become more familiar with it.

The new computer is going into an Antec Super lanboy that I purchased on Black Friday from Comp USA, $30 after Mail In Rebates.

There are some items going from the older computer to the new one. My siatek gaming keboard, along with my mx-518 are tagging along to the new computer. I'm also probably going to take my DVD-RW out of the current rig to put into it as well.
