Hey guys. I am trying to get my Mozilla Thunderbird to work and I was going to try to uninstall it and re-install it and try to blow the application data. Does anyone know where Thunderbird stores all it's e-mails and if you have added on any folders where it would keep the messeges that I put in there? Let me know. Thanks guys! Wave

I believe it's stored under c:\Documents and Settings\(USER NAME)\application data\thunderbird or somewhere in that area.

you may have to turn on "show hidden files and folders"

you can get a backup program but the easiest thing to do is

[in thunderbird]
tools > account settings > server settings (of the account in question)

look at the bottom the window and you will see Local Directory and a Browse button. This is where the files are, just make copy of these.

The files are something like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\euxrgp5r.default\Mail\pop.*****.com

the link i posted is a firefox/t-bird backup program.

it will backup cookies, history, saved passes, etc in FF
it will backup folders, emails, contacts, etc in T-bird

it 'claims' to backup extentions and themes, but i always had to reinstall ext or themes for em to work right.
