I finally got my 64 Bit system setup...

Asus A8N-E motherboard
Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
2x 512MB Crucial Ballistix PC3200 DDR
Gigabyte Radeon X600XT 128MB PCIe
2x 200GB Seagate 7200.8 Barracudas in RAID-0
Ultra Xfinity 600W PSU
CD/Mouse/Keyboard

Windows XP Pro 64-Bit.

With everything above installed, and nothing else... I get two unknown devices that Windows can not install. It gives no clues as to what kind of devices they are, so I can't install them manually, either. I could ignore it, as the system runs fine as it is, but I am curious as to what these are, and want them addressed.

Ever heard of this before? Any tips on how to take care of it?

Thanks! Evil Banana

I would assume you have 64 bit drivers for MB and Video?

Normal Mouse/Keyboard? Or Logitech MX1000? That could be throwing it off if it's a wireless/bluetooth kb/mouse.

No, just generic PS/2 keyboard and mouse. All of the latest 64-bit drivers were used from the ASUS site and I tried the latest drivers from NVIDIA as well.

I figured it out. Its all related to the ATI card. Gigabyte has a terrible download section, and the stock ATI drivers don't seem to have what it needs. I guess a VIVO function is the problem. Of course, its only because of the 64-bit installation.

This took a while, but the system is finally running well!! Bang Head

But, I can't seem to use RAID 0 for my boot drives, and now just have one drive for the OS, and I will add RAID 1 for storage on the other channels.

Definitely fast... especially since the one drive is SATA-II!! Grin
