I'm using Avast... When I installed XP x64 is was the only 64 bit AV.
Actually looking at AVG's web site it doesn't show support x64. Are you sure it supports it?
EDIT just looked at their FAQ.. It is not caompataible with X64
Quote: | 02404 Minimal system requirements for AVG and supported platforms Minimal hardware configuration which can be used for AVG installation is a PC with 486, 32 MB RAM memory and 30 MB free space on the hard drive.
AVG 7.0 is fully compatible with these operating systems:
Windows95; Windows98; WindowsME; WindowsNT4; Windows2000; WindowsXP and also with these server operating systems: Windows NT4 Server; Windows2000 Server; Windows2003 Server
AVG Anti-Virus is not compatible with 64-bit operating systems at this time. A new edition that will protect 64-bit computers is under development at the moment.
However no exact term of the release has been announced yet. Kindly check our website, News Section, where information about new AVG releases will be posted.
