I may have had that one, or one very similar, for a while. My main board died, and while I waited for an RMA from Newegg, that was the only one available locally. It was ok, but somewhat bland in the overclock / extra features category.
But, my SOcket 754 for experiment only lasted about 3 months before I got tired of it... |

I have a DFI sli-dr and I love it. The board has SLi, 8 sata ports, raid5 capability, and more bios options than I can count. You can get a refurb for $107 from newegg too or you can check www.pricewatch.com for another vendor with a lower price (chiefwatch at the moment, and I dealt with them before and had a good experience )
I would definately go with the nF4 chipset and get the pci-express and sli architechture though, no matter what board you get. |

Got two links to the cooler, and none to the chip. That is probably a good cooler, but I have no experience with it. Zalman's are good, but not always the highest power... I prefer things that may be too strong that I can throttle down.
Also... have a look at ZipZoomFly.com - they have the same stuff, for about the same price (or less), but they offer two day shipping for free, saving you time and more money.
Link to the board on pricegrabber... cool to see a new store and new sponsor up on that list with low prices too... www.clubit.com (reviews coming soon)! |
