MSI 6800GT problems

I don't know about the abit board, but my new DFI required a minimum of like 400 watts (I don't recall exactly off hand) so I popped in a 600 watt that I picked up for $70. I wouldn't run any modern computer on less than 500 watts.

so i should get a new PSU then Sad

can some one tell me how do i determin a good PSU, i dont know much about PSUs

check out Hellfire's suggestion for drivers first... it seemed to have helped other here and at other forums!

but, power supplies are an area where going cheap is a bad idea.

Other than the PSU, if you're running the current beta nVidia drivers, only other thing I can suggest is which version of Windows Media do you have installed? WM10 is causing many issues with EQ2 and WoW. No idea why, but friends had the same issue with you, they reformatted, installed the beta drivers, and did NOT get WM10, and had no issues afterwards. Installed WM10 afterwards, and would be fine for a few days, then it would go haywire again.

Unfortunately, rolling back/uninstalling WM10 will not do the trick either.

yes i di have 77.76. and what is this about WMP? what was the point of ur last post? i dont get it? there is no way i can fixit? i do have WMP 10

maybe i should try the 80.40 driver

I changed drive to 80.40, i saw a big boost in performence in 3d,mark 05, but my video problem came back, like the porblem i had with 77.72, i havent encounterd any problem with crushes yet , but ill update soon

The point is that some of the issues has been related to WMP 10, specifically the codecs involved with it.

There is a way to fix it, but it involved reformatting your computer. That is of course assuming that really IS the problem. It might not be, but it was on one of my machines, which runs perfectly fine, until I load WMP 10, then I have all kinds of issues.
