How I do my computing for about 3 months now and love it.

I have a series of live windows cd's. One designed for office work, one designed for multi-media, etc. And same thing with live linux cd's. One custom tailored to each specific thing.

It used to be common for me to have 10 distros installed betwene linux, bsd, windows, and a few wierd ones from fresh-meat/source forge.

Then I abandon that. I keep two installed. A gaming partition. And a freebsd partition. Viruses cannot install if, well they cannot install. I have a directory I just save docs two. And then I also save to my network filesystem as a backup.

If everything crashes I can be back up in minutes. Takes you how long? Restoring all your back up data.
