Are you part of the same "network"? I mean, did you do the Workgroup stuff and everything? I had the same problem with my girlfriend's computer and she couldn't access my computer until I remembered to check the workgroup, then everything was fine.

I can't say I have ever experienced that before...

I'd have to say I'd need to look around and see what the deal is. If your interested we could set up a remote control session on your PC and I can look into some files, and permissions, event logs, etc...

Or make wild guesses... Grin

We wouldn't have the sharing capabilities we do if we were not both part of SPIRENET.

EC, we are here (hung over pretty grusome), AIM me or tell me what to do...

This is very strange indeed...

The hangover got to me and I went back to bed, I will be on all day and half the night if you want to give it a shot.

I have the "old" NF2 set up in the garage and it won't see the share off the RAID drive either.

I did however transfer a big file from the NF2 to the main machine without issue, set the share up on NF2, and grabbed it from the main machine.

I've always had crappy file sharing experiences at LANs while on Windows XP. I prefer the file sharing that was in Windows 98SE much more Sad

The great Doctor Evil Cheeze has solved my dilema.

He remote logged in, checked some services, screwed with some registry size crap and everything works flawless.

A big thanks and many cold beers to the Cheezy one!!!

I'd tell ya, but then I'd have to charge you many beers as well. Last I heard Spries wife is making him sell the SS to pay for the beer....

There is a LANMAN setting in the registry that I had to way up, if your interested there is a MS KB on it some place (where I originally found out about it) that I can post the link to if you are interested.
